Meet Our Team

Dr. David Marchant BVSc PhD is the principal veterinarian of the practice. David was born and raised in Queensland and is a graduate and has a Doctorate from the University of Queensland. He was a partner in a mixed practice in Surrey, UK and has been the principal of several practices in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales before coming to The Ark. David lives on the Sunshine Coast with his wife Sue and dog Alice (a Staffy x).

Dr. Meghan Scrivens BVSc (Hons) BAppSc (Hons), has joined us to work most Mondays and other times when the need arises. Meghan is an Aspley local who graduated from UQ in 2009 and has been working at VSS in Underwood since then.

Angela Vyden BAppSc (Vet Tech) has joined our team. Recently graduated from UQ, Angela is looking forward to putting her considerable knowledge to use at The Ark. Angela has now assumed the role of head nurse at The Ark and is transforming our systems and using her skills for the benefit of our patients. Angela's staffy Astro and her cat Satay are frequent visitors to the surgery.

Kay Burns BAppSc (Vet Tech) is the newest member of our team. Kay graduated from the Vet Tech course at UQ in Gatton in 2011, and comes to us from the Sunshine Coast. Whilst she has no pets now, she wants to adopt a retired Greyhound in the near future.

Chelsea Matthews is the youngest member of our team, and is now our Saturday morning receptionist. Chelsea will complete her Year 12 studies this year and hopes to study at the University of Queensland next year.
